On November 22nd, in Segovia, the illustrious Don Alfonso de Ceballos-Escalera y Gila and Doña Adriana-María Pérez de Venegas, Marqueses of Floresta and Viscounts of Ayala, received-as a sign of profound friendship, esteem, and recognition-two of the most prestigious distinctions of the Imperial House of Brazil.
By the hand of the Grand Chancellor, the Marquis Don Marco de Guadamillas y Cortés, and by mandate of the August Prince Imperial of Brazil, Dom Pedro de Bourbon y Orléans e Bragança,
Doña Adriana-María Pérez de Venegas was awarded the Imperial Military and Civil Order of the Rose, in the rank of Dame Commander;
Don Alfonso de Ceballos-Escalera y Gila received the Imperial Order of Dom Pedro I – Founder of the Empire of Brazil, in the rank of Grand Cross.
